OUR BELIEFS

A. The Scriptures

We believe in the Holy Scriptures, accepting fully the writings of the Old Testament and the New Testament as the very Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts. They are our infallible and the authoritative rule in all matters of faith and practice. We believe that God has preserved His Word in the King James Bible for English speaking people. (Psa. 12:6 & 7, 119:89; Matt. 24:35; II Tim. 3:16-17; I Pet. 1:22,23; II Pet. 1:20,21).

B. The One True God

We believe there is One God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit who are equal in every divine perfection and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Gen. 1; 2; Deut. 6:4-5; I John 5:7; Rev. 1:8)

C. The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of Christ (John 1:1-3 & 10:30; Rev. 1:8, John 1:14); His virgin birth (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:23, Luke 1:27); The substitutionary, expiatory death of Christ for a depraved mankind and the necessity of a blood atonement for the remission of sins (Rom. 3:25; I John 2:2 & 4:10; I Cor. 15:3; Matt. 26:28; Rom. 5:6 & 8); His bodily resurrection into Heaven (Matt. 28:5-7; Acts 1:11), there to be our Intercessor (Heb. 7:25).

D. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, makes believers children of God through the New Birth, assuring them of Heaven, and by His indwelling enables Christians to live a godly life. He enters, indwells, and enables at the moment of Salvation (John 14:16-19 & 16:7-15; Rom. 15:16b; I Cor. 6:11; II Cor. 1:22; Eph. 1:13 & 4:30; I Pet. 1:1-5).

E. The Condition of Man

We believe that all men are by nature and choice sinful and lost, and have within themselves no possible means of salvation. We believe that man was created in holiness, under the Law of his maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state; in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but by choice; being by nature utterly void of that holiness required by the Law of God, positively inclined to evil; and therefore, are under just condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse. (John 3:3; Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:5; Gen. 3; Rom. 5:12-14; James 1:14-15; John 3:18)

F. The Way of Salvation

We believe that Salvation is by Grace through Faith; that salvation is the gift of God, not by any virtue of works of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that all believers possess the gift of eternal life, a perfect righteousness, son-ship in the family of God, and divine guarantee that they shall never perish. (Eph. 2:8; Rom. 6:23; John 3:16; Rom 5:15-21, 8:17, 5:9, Phil. 1:6)

G. The Freeness of Salvation

We believe that the blessings of Salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial penitent and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the Salvation of the greatest sinner on earth, but his own inherit depravity and voluntary rejection of the Gospel; which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. (Rom. 6:23, 10:9-10)

H. Repentance and Faith

We believe that repentance and faith are sacred duties, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God. Whereby being deeply convinced of our guilt, danger, and helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy; at the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our Prophet, Priest, and King, and relying on Him alone as the only and all-sufficient Savior. (Mark 1:15; Luke 13:3; John 1:12 & 3:16; Acts 2:38, 3:19, 17:30).

I. Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the sealer and comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means - especially, the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer. (John 17:17; I Cor. 1:30; Eph. 5:26-27;

I Thes. 4:3-4 & 5:23; II Thes. 2:13)

J. Satan

We believe in the existence of Satan, the deceiver and god of this present world; that he was defeated and judged at the cross, and therefore his final doom is certain. (I Chr. 21:1; Job 1:6; Zech. 3:2; Matt 4:1-11; II Cor. 4:4; I Cor. 15:54-57; Rev. 20:1-10).

K. The Second Coming

We believe in the second coming of Christ; that His return from Heaven will be personal, visible and glorious, the time being unrevealed but always imminent; that when He comes He will first by resurrection of the dead and the translation of the living remove from the earth His awaiting Church; then pour out the righteous judgments of God upon the unbelieving world, afterwards descend with His Church and establish His glorious and literal kingdom over all the nations for a thousand years. (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; I Thes. 1:10, 4:13-17, 5:1-9; II Thes. 2:1-12; Rev. 20:2-7) 

L. The Saved and Unsaved

We believe that the spirits of the saved at death go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven; that their works will be judged and rewards determined at the Judgment Seat of Christ; that they will live forever in Eternal bliss in fellowship with God; that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into Hell until the final day of judgment, at which their bodies shall be raised from the grave, judged, and along with death and Hell shall be cast into the Lake of Fire - The place of final an everlasting punishment. (Luke 16:19-31; Rom. 14:10; Rev. 20:15)

M. The Priesthood of Believers

We believe in the priesthood of all believers, that Christ is our Great High Priest and through Him every born-again believer has direct access into God’s presence without the need of human priest; that the believer has the right and responsibility to study and interpret the Scriptures as guided by the Holy Spirit. (Heb. 4:14; I Pet. 2:9; I Tim. 2:5; II Tim. 2:15; John 16:13)

N. The New Testament Church

We believe that a New Testament Church is an organized body of born-again, baptized believers practicing scriptural ordinances and actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission. (Matt. 16:18; I Cor. 12:12-14; Heb. 10:25)

O. The Ordinances of the Church

We believe the two scriptural ordinances given to the local Church are baptism by immersion of believers only, and the Lord’s Supper to be partaken of by obedient Christians. (Matt. 26:26-29 & 28:18-20; I Cor. 11:23-32)

P. Marriage

We believe that marriage is an institution set forth by God between one man and one woman (Gen. 2:20-24; Eph. 5:21-33). We also believe that marriage between believers and unbelievers will cause hardships within the marriage (II Cor. 6:14). The Pastor reserves the right to perform or refuse to perform weddings as He sees fit based on these biblical truths.
